Group Therapy Weekend Retreat
Roots to Wings: Healing Your Inner Child & Embracing Authenticity
April 4-6, 2025
Join this small group therapy setting in beautiful Bragg Creek for a rare opportunity to do a deep level of therapeutic work in a condensed time frame.
This intensive group therapy weekend retreat is focused on inner-child healing & connection to your true, authentic self.
You will be supported to deeply explore how belief systems, shame messaging and dysfunctional roles that you adapted as you were growing up have been carried with you into adulthood, learn how this may have served you at the time and also understand how to stop repeating patterns (belief systems/behaviours/copings strategies) that may feel more dysfunctional as they hold you back in your life now.
A variety of therapeutic interventions will be used to help you to deepen your self-awareness and open capacity for healing and change. You will be supported to embrace ALL parts of yourself, learn how to care for your inner child(ren) and move forward with courage and confidence as your true authentic self. There is a large focus on inner-child healing & shame releasing during these sessions and Jen’s goal is to support you in fostering greater feelings of empowerment, confidence & authenticity in all areas of your life. This weekend retreat has limited space (Max 6-8 participants) to ensure that there is ample opportunity to process during the sessions. Priority will be given to Jen’s current & past clients.
“I was excited to take my sessions deeper by participating in the weekend retreat. It was a small group of women who were able to be present, supportive and honest. It was well structured and obviously put together with thought. Jen is always well-prepared and so passionate about the work that she does that it makes each experience seem incredibly valuable. The best analogy I can offer is that Jen is like a person with a map that seems indecipherable to me but that her trust will lead us in the direction we need to be going. Jen’s trust makes it easier for me to focus on exploring and healing instead of getting lost in the weeds." - Andrea T.
The intensive group therapy weekend retreat will give you an opportunity to go deeper into your healing journey with a primary focus on building your self-awareness to help you increase your self-esteem, create healthier relationships with others and manage your emotions effectively.
You will be supported to deeply explore the root cause of current issues to help you make long-term changes, stop repeating patterns that hold you back and you will be guided through experiential activities that will support you in breaking free from the cycle of shame to be able to live more authentically.
“Being in community with other people really helped me open up and get uncomfortable in ways I didn't expect. I also did NOT expect to be so deeply supported by people I had never met!”
“This was a life changing experience for me. I am so grateful to have had Jen lead the group of women through such a transformative weekend.”

“Jen - Thank you for all the efforts you put into making this weekend happen. I have some really wonderful friendships that have become so important these past few years and knowing that some women found that sisterhood this weekend made me so grateful to be part of this group. I too found a deeper level of connection with women who were essentially strangers on Friday. Everyone showed up to be vulnerable, hold space and do the work. There was no pressure to be or do something and there was still this lovely opportunity to really explore who we are and what we could be in connection with our true self. You are honest with where you are at, you model behaviours and it is such a gift to have someone doing the work while also expressing belief that the same is possible for you. I am hopeful the same group of women will be able to reconnect once (or perhaps many times) to continue this work together.”
