The Power of Story Telling

✨ Story-telling ✨ There is something profoundly healing about sharing your story and being seen by others. The power of storytelling is not just in the words we speak, but in the witnessing—the deep sense of connection that comes when we open up, share our experiences, and realize we are not alone. I see this in the women’s circles that I hold, and in the group therapy sessions I facilitate. Each has a power of their own, with some similarities and some striking differences. One is not better than the other, they are beautiful, powerful, and healing in their own unique ways and I LOVE facilitating both.
Sometimes, simply telling our story in the presence of supportive witnesses creates healing within itself. In the group therapy sessions that I facilitate, you’ll experience the added value of therapeutic feedback and body integration, allowing you to move through the trauma held within your story. When we tell our stories, we reclaim our voice and allow ourselves to process emotions that may have been buried for years. Being witnessed by others creates a sense of validation, healing, and empathy—helping us feel understood, seen, and supported.
I have been working hard on perfecting the details for the group therapy weekend Retreat that’s coming up in April “Roots to Wings: Healing Your Inner Child and Embracing Authenticity” and I can hardly wait to step into the magic of this weekend with the divine women who have signed up! We have space for 2 more women if this calls to you, please reach out.
The Listening Room" is a sacred space for women to come together to honour each other's voices and experiences. Each time we gather, there will be a sacred circle either around a fire or with a salt bowl ceremony. At each gathering you will be welcomed into this safe and supportive environment in the forest in Bragg Creek. Our circles are mostly held outdoors, encouraging you to authentically connect to yourself, the other women in attendance, and to nature.
We are excited to introduce a new offering called "Tuning In". This is an online group experience designed to help you deepen your self-awareness, inviting self-reflection, intuitive alignment and integrating mind-body connection through a combination of therapeutic practices.
"Tuning In" will blend elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Energy Work, and Internal Family Systems (IFS):

Do you ever feel like you need extra space just for yourself, to connect, feel, and process what’s happening within and around you?
The Embodied Self Connection retreat is designed to help you feel truly embodied—to reconnect with your body, emotions, and inner wisdom in a deep, grounded way. Through somatic experiencing and expressive arts therapy, you’ll be guided to tune into the sensations, feelings, and messages your body is holding. Somatic exercises will help you release stored tension, trauma, and emotional blocks, while expressive arts therapy will allow you to express and process what’s inside through creative movement, art, and other forms of expression.
By the end of the day, you will feel centred, grounded, and deeply connected to your true self. You will walk away feeling more embodied, with a clearer sense of who you are and what you need to show up fully in your life.
